The Executive and members of the Colombo Lodge are committed to providing financial assistance to individuals, groups, and organizations in the community.

 

Grants are awarded to those who demonstrate through an application process that their project, program, or initiative will meet a need in the community in the areas of:

• Arts and Culture

• Health and Welfare

• Sports and Recreation

• Community Leadership

Eligibility and Process 

To apply for a grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Groups, individuals, and organizations applying for grants must reside within the boundaries of the City of Kamloops.

2. The grant application window will be from February 1st, 2024 to April 30th, 2024.

3. All applications must be submitted to the Granting Committee of the Colombo Lodge by 12:00pm on April 30th, 2024.

4. Groups, individuals, and organizations may only receive one grant from the Colombo Lodge per calendar year.

5. The Granting Committee will review grant applications and make recommendations to the Executive for approval. All applicants will be notified by mail or email approximately six weeks after the application window is closed.

6. Successful grant recipients will be required to provide a testimonial or picture for posting on the Colombo Lodge website and social media accounts.

Please note:

1. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the Granting Committee.

2. Grants will not be awarded to groups, individuals, or organizations that promote political, moral, or ethical philosophies or for the purposes that may be deemed discriminatory.

3. Preference will be given to new programs and initiatives.
